Art Association Lecturer to Tell of Court Artist; Permanent Fan Collection Is Explained; ~ . Rotary Club Holds Ladies’ Day.

By VIRGINIA MOORHFAD MANNON Despite the fact that Henry VIII did away with his wives with monotonous regularity, he was not without an occasional spark of sentiment. Dr. Paul Ganz, Basle, Switzerland, is to ‘discuss the works of Holbein before the Art Association of Indianapolis this evening in the

John Herron Art Museum.

Holbein, Henry VIII's court painter, made portraits not only of the king himself, but of three of his wives—Jane Seymour, Catherine - Howard and Anne of Cleves.. Dr. and Mrs. G. H. A. Clowes, who are to entertain for Dr. Ganz while he is in Indianapolis, have in their collection a self-portrait of Holbein which they are lending to the Art
