COMBINATION GAME PERMITS ARE ISSUED
State Opens Sale of Licenses For Next Year.
Combination hunting, fishing and trapping licenses, good for the 1938 calendar year, were placed on rale today, the Conservation Department announced. The fee for this type of license is $1.50, an increase of 50 cents over the present charge. The new licenses were placed on sale two weeks eare lier than usual. Virgil M. Simmons, Conservation Department commissioner, explained the 1938 licenses are not to become valid until New Year's Day and sportsmen must have 1937 licenses to participate in hunting, fishing and trapping activities during the remainder of the current year. Conservation clubs in various sece tions of the State established a rece ord this fall, Mr. Simmons said, when they liberated 10,000 pheasants and quail. The clubs propagated
these game birds from eggs furne ished by the department.
