Cassidy, 40-year-old laundryman awaiting trial for the killing and mutilation of a Mexican servant girl with whom he said he had been living for six months. Cassidy ‘was ‘brought here yesterday from Los Lunas by sheriff's uties. gm officials said he would be guarded carefully to prevent sucide. He failed in one suicide try. Cassidy, a respected Socorro businessman and the father of five children, pleaded for a speedy death after confessing that he killed Rosalia Garcia, 19, and buried her mutilated body in a shallow grave.
