Prep Elevens To End Season

Shortridge Meets Ripple at Bowl Tomorrow.

Shortridge and Broad Ripple are to clash tomorrow at Butier Bowl in the deciding game of the 1937 city high school football series. Weather conditions forced postponement of the contest, originally scheduled for last Friday. Broad Ripple, topping city teams with a record of one victory and no defeats in series play, can gain undisputed possession of its first city grid title by defeating the Devils. A Shortridge triumph will

throw the race into a three-way tie between Washington, Technical and

Shortridge. Today, local high school coaches and representatives of the three daily newspapers were to choose the 15 outstanding prep football players of the city at a luncheon of the Purdue Alumni Association in the Hotel Severin. At Broad Ripple the Rockets went through a light kicking drill yesterday followed by a scrimmage. Quarterback Clifford Burger, who was injured in the Deaf School encounter, was almost fully recovered and is expected to be in the starting line up tomorrow. The highly favored Shortridge squad, renked as one of the state's most powerful elevens until its upset defeat by Technical, charged through a snappy scrimmage and drilled on blocking and tackling yesterday. Both teams were to taper off with light workouts this afternoon,
