President Franklin D. Roosevelt's 110th “Fireside Chat’ tomorrow night will be carried by stations of three [nate networks from 6:30 to 3:45 p. m, The President’s talk, which is being delivered on the eve of Congress’ | special session, is expected to pertain ‘to the voluntary unemployment census the Government is undertaking Nov. 1620. It is believed ; | Mr. Roosevelt i | will present his i legislative pro- § {gram for solving the problem, in addition to stressing the im- § portance of full § co-operation by the unemploved during the census. More than 32,000,000 cards will be distributed throughout § the country for the unemployed to fill out and mail, without postage, to Washington, As usual, the broadcast will originate from the White House studio, [ formerly the Diplomatic Reception | Room.

Indianapolis will be the point of origin for a half-hour coast-to-coast network program Monday afternoon. When Daniel J. Doherty, American Legion national commander, speaks to the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce from 1 to 1:30 p. m., his address will be available to 82 stations. The broadcast will originate through the facilities of WIRE, local MBS outlet, Commander Doherty will discuss “The American Legion—=A Stabilizing Force,” and Mrs, Malcolm Douglas, Legion Auxiliary national president, will speak briefily on “The women's Contribution.” On Monday evening Commander Doherty will be heard in an interview during the “Forward With Indianapolis” program over WIRE at 9:30 p. m. In his discussion with Bill Frosch, the newly elected commander is expected to discriss the Legion's aims and objec tives, The Legion will pay tribute to Armistice Day on “Your Birthday Party” tomorrow at 11:30 a. m. over WFBM. Posts will be represented by their adjutants, who will recall personal Armistice Day experiences. Another feature will be a “battle of wits” in which questions of military and historical significance will be asked.

Opening ceremonies of the special (Congress session will be broadcast by MBS-WGN and NBC-WLW from 11 a. m. to 12 noon. Gabriel Heatter, of the “We, the People” program, will head the contingent of MBS commentators who will cover the special session. Strategically placed microphones will be set up on the House and Senate floors, A cross section of the nation, ranging from outstanding political figures to citizens picked at rane dom on streets, will discuss the special session over OBS-WFBM tomorrow from 10 to 11 p. m. Man-in-the-street interviews will be cone ducted in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City and Boston. Senator Wagner (D. N. Y.), Senator Vandenburg (R. Mich.), Rep. Sam Rayburn (D. Tex.), and Rep. Joseph W. Martin Jr. (R. Mass.), will be heard from Washington. The pro= gram is designed to interpret the nation's desires for special session legislation,

The commentator has promised to bring to the mike exclusive information gathered from New York and Hollywood during his absence from the networks.

Ripley's broadcast tonight at 7 p. m. over NBCWIRE. A few weeks ago young Caruso appeared on the Ripley show in a dramatic role, playing the part of his famous father in a drama based on the latter's operatic experiences. Ripley also will present Cleve Larue, ‘who drove an automobile 50 miles while asleep and was awakened by a traffic cop.
