His talk is not ex pected to be of a political nature, Mr. Hoover is to be heard over MBS-WGN, CBS-WFBM and NBCBlue at 2 p. m., speaking from Colby College, Waterville, Me. He will be speaking on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the death of a Oolby alumnus, Elijah Lovejoy, who died a martyr to the cause of freedom of the press. Mr. Hoover is to be introduced by Dr. Franklin W. Johnson, college president. to 11:15 a. m. Monday. The broadcast will originate at the U. S. District Court in New York City. The broadcast is to be the first of its kind. The broadcast has been arranged under the joint auspices of the Sons of the American Revolution, the Division of Naturalization of the WPA, and the New York Board of Education. Officials of each group are to make short addresses, The U. 8S. Army and the Mor= risania Naval Guard are to furnish color guards. The program is to be concluded with the singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner” by the new citizens.

Your radio columnist bounced along in Sergt. Tom Renforth's motorcycle sidecar Thursday aftetnoon when the burly policeman set out in the quest for a courteous driver. In a tough, windy chase that began at police headquarters, led up N. Meridian St. and term= inated successfully in the vicinity of 34th and Guilford Sts, Sergt. Renforth singled out Robert Orawsford, 53 Layman Ave. as Thursday's courteous driver. When we weren't rubbing dirt from out eves or trying nonchalantly to ignore the questioning stares of pedestrians, we were trying to catch Sergt. Renforth's words above the cycle's roar as he lectured on his methods of choosing a courteous driver every day. According to the Sergeant, whe has had the job since WIRE and the local police began the campaigh last week, it is no easy task, We were inclined to agree with him. “Only about one driver in B50 is courteous all the time,” he said.
