Filene, internationally known economist and financier, will be honored tonight by leaders of organizations with which he was affiliated in a memorial broadcast over OBS at 9:43 Pp. m, One of Mr. Filene's favorite phrases, “The Next Step Forward, will be the title of the program. The three speakers will be Dr. James Peter Warbasse, president of the Co-operative League of the U. S.; Flint Garrison, vice president of the Consumer Distribution Corp, and Claude R. Orchard, director of the Credit Union Section of the Farm Credit Administration. These men worked with Mr, Filene in the development of credit unions and the consumers’ co-operative movements.
