WATER UTILITY TO FILE CHANGE IN RULES PLEA

Public Service Commission Sets Nov. 10 Deadline For Amendment.

The Indianapolis Water Co today was given until Nov. 10 to file with the Indiana Public Service Commission amendments to its proposed new rules which seek to redefine company-customer relationships.

are said to clarify original proposals, were agreed upon by representatives of the company and various civic and real estate organizations following a two-day Commission hearing The Commission set Nov. 17 as the | date upon which oral arguments | are to be given by all interested parties on the rules still in dispute. Presentation of further evidence in the case was closed by the Commission yesterday.

Morse, the utility's general manager, has asked the Commission to establish a $5 charge for thawing service lines. The company has agreed to repair leaks in service lines between the distribution mains and the curb stops at its own expense.
