Favors Pittsburgh to Defeat Rams in Big Game in East, Wildcats to Trip Purdue

Victories Are Forecast for California, Cornell and Louisiana State: Butler, DePauw and Wabash Also Seen as Winners.

S the battering Fordham Rams meet the slashing Pitts-

birgh Panthers in a game that may go a long way toward deciding the Eastern Rose Bowl representative, top ranking teams from all over the nation face strenuous opposition tomorrow. The Williamson system indicates a Pittsburgh victory, although a duplication of last year's tie is not unlikelv. Meanwhile, California, Cornell and Louisiana State, rated at the top of the list, should have little difficulty in maintaining their records with victories over weaker opponents. Alabama figures to win a close one from Tennessee. Texas A. & M,, a newcomer to national football prominence, may have diffi-

culty with Texas Christian, but should win.

Big Ten selections include Indiana over Illinois, Minnesota over Michiran. Northwestern over Purdue and Wisconsin over Towa, although possible ties are indicated in all but the last game. Princeton looks too strong . ol p pears a likely winner over Carnegie for Chicago, and Notre Dame app Tech : 5 : In Indiana. Butler should win easily from Evansville and DePauw appears to have the ecge on Ball State, as does Wabash over Earlham. When the symbol “T" with a number appears in the Predict column the number indicates the team which is slightly favored. but a very close decision or “upset” is predicted as nossible. A difference of 5 percentage points or less in the ratings of two teams often indicates that they are evenly matched and their game is a toss-up.”
