NEW "YORK, ‘Oct. 14 (U. P).— Motion picture producers were offered two revolutionary developments in “third dimension” films today—one advertised as the first “practical” means of giving depth | to the screen, and the other giving the spoken lines an audience perspective similar to a stage production The first public demonstration of both was witnessed last night by delegates to the Annual Convention of the Society of Motion Picture Engineers. After the previews, J. P. Maxfield, of Eleetrical Research Products, Inc., predicted that use of the new methods incorporation in regular | production “is a matter that rests with the production companies.” The “stereophonic” film was a development of Mr. Maxfield's company in conjunction with the Bell Telephone laboratories.
