STANDARD MARK FOR NO-PASSING TONES DECREED
Yellow Circles Will Notify Drivers to Stay In Line.
All State highway engineers have been instructed to standardize the marking of “no-passing” zones on Indiana roads, Earl Crawford, State Highway Commission chairman, reported today. The last Legislature passed an act requiring establishment of these zones wherever motorists do not have a minimum of 750 feet sight distance ahead. A yellow circle, 24 inches in diameter, will notify motorists they are entering a “no-passing” zone. A yellow line will parallel the black center line on curves and hills where there is limited vision.
