Catholic Alumni Chapter to Resume Forums With | Nov. 7 Meeting.
The annual Catholic Forum, Sunday evening lecture series sponsoried by the International Federa- | tion of Catholic Alumni local chap- | ter, is to ‘open Nov. 7. Specialists in the field of labor | relations, history, literature, phil- | osophy and chemistry are to be heard, First speaker is to be the Rt. Rev. Francis J. Haas, Wisconsin Labor | Relations Board and WPA Labor | Policy Board member. He is to dis- | cuss “Why Workers Organize.” |
Report on Spain
Dec. 5, Dr. Arthur S. Aiton, University of Michigan professor, is to report on conditions in Spain as he | observed them preceding the civil war's outbreak. Miss Helen C. White, author and English professor at Wisconsin University, is to speak Jan. 30. March 5, Dr. Scott Buchanan, philosaphy school dean at Sts«John's College, Annapolis, is to be heard. The final speaker March 27 is to be Dr. Hugh Scott Taylor, Princeton | University chemistry department | chairman and American Electro- | Chemical Society member. The forum has been held for the | past three years. Proceeds are used | to ‘assist Sisters of Indiana Catholic | teaching orders to continue their | university studies. |
