CCC ENROLLMENT IS SET FOR OCT. 4

Youths 17 to 23 Eligible to Enlist in Corps.

_ Enrollment of Marion County white youths from 17 to 23 years old for the CCC is to be held Oct. 4, Fred Hoke, selection agency director, said today. Applications must be filed at the Marion County office, 257 W. Washington St. Under the CCC act extending the life of the corps to 1940, any youth between these ages who is out of work and in need of a job is eligible to enroll regardless of whether or not his family is on relief or in need and in danger of going on relief. However, no applicant is eligible for re-enlistment in less than six months after expiration of a previous enlistment, unless his service was continuous. No applicant who has served a full two years in the Corps is eligible for re-enlistment, Mr. Hoke said.
