Brookings Institute Urges Revamping; Would Drop Controller.

The recommendations were wr. ted to a special Senate Committee on Government Reorganization headed by Senator Byrd (D. Va.). Another Senate committee studying government reorganization con- | tinued its study of the effect of the | Administration’s Omnibus Bill on | the Federal accounting structure. | Senator Byrnes (D. S. C.), head! of this group, said the committee | would conclude its public hearings | today, then draft the bill in executive sessions. He said he hoped to report it to the Senate for consideration early next session.
