Winners to Compete in Seven Regionals for Right To Enter State Tourney.

Fifteen sectional centers for the playing of the annual Indiana Amateur Baseball Tournament, Aug. 21 and 22, were announced today by Quentin Hartke, state recreation director of the Works Progress Administration. Hartke, who alsp is the state amateur baseball commissioner under the American Baseball Congress, pointed out that this tournament, sponsored by the WPA and Indiana Recreation Association does not conflict with the state semipro tournament now in progress at Terre Haute. Sectional winners are to compete in seven regional tournaments on Aug. 29 for the right to play in the state tourney at Kokomo on Sept. 5. Sites for the regional tournament will not be announced until the sectional winners are determined.
