SEEKS TO RETURN INDIAN TO STATE

Governor Asks Winois for Alleged Parole Jumper.

The only good Indian is an extradited Indian. On this theory, ‘Governor Towns send today issued extradition papers to have John Morning Star, an American Indian, brought back home again to Indiana as a parole Jumper. He is held in the Illinois House of Correction at Chicago. Morning Star was paroled from the Michigan City State Prison in 1934 Dut never reported to the Parole Board, so they want him back. He was senfenced to 3 to 10 years from Marion County in 19381 on a burglary charge. His criminal record, officials say, is longer even than his name, and includes convictions for Torgery, burglary, grand jarceny and affiljated felonies. He has served time in Leavenworth, all three Imdiana institutions and has had several other more or less temporary homes, police say.
