HOLDS FLETCHER

CREDITORS ARE 'DISINTERESTED’

Attorney Says Large Hold: ers Indicate No Participation in Settlement Protest.

Samuel Dowden, attorney for liquidating trustees, today told Federal Court Judge Robert Baltzell that large creditors of the defunct Fletcher American National Bank had “indicated no interest” in the proposed $325,000 compromise settlement to clear all ‘obligations of the institution. Four common Stockholders through their attorney, John Spahr, have protested the proposed settlement and have claimed the directors are solvent and able to pay in excess of $10,000,000. This stockholders petition asks the Court to refuse to accept the directors’ offer to confess judgment and pay liquidating trustees $325,000. The liquidating trustees third party in the case, have asked the Court to approve the proposed settlement, as have the directors

Two Holders Absent

Judge Baltzell today asked if two of the four protesting stockholders were in court, and when informed that they were not. said: Tt <eems me these parties should he interested enough in this case te attend the hearing.” The fudge asked Mr. Spahr if other Bank stockholders had ‘conferred with him about this case and Mr. Spahr said, “A few have ‘come Stockholders are interested to see that the creditors are paid.” Mr Spahr safd. “Thev also want to see if there was any malfeasance or misfeasance in this case. We should have the court continve this until one of the directors comes back from Europe.”

— predicts NORMAN BEL GEDDES

*Vehicles will be routed through the cities of 1960 on thoroughfares specifically designed to carry traffic moving at several established speeds,” says Mr. Geddes, authority on future trends.

"A network of 50-mile-an-hour Express Highways in the city will handle all traffic going ten blocks or more, creating a continuous flow of cars, uninterrupted by stop lights, intersections or pedestrians.

"On Local Streets, elevated sidewalks will carry pedesirian traffic above streets... main building entrances and shop windows will be on second story level. Trucks will be loaded and cars parked in open areas beneath buildings, Thus the entire width of street— from building-line to buildings line=—will be clear for motor traffic...”

ge but TODAY, 9 4 miles in bare Stop and Go

OU can drive up to ten miles on the amount of gasoline wasted by your 30 daily stops! 30 stops a day is the nation-wide average. The costliest kind of driving you do, both in time and money, is stop and go.

While leading traffic authorities are planning “the City

of Tomorrow,”

Shell engineers have developed a fuel,

Super-Shell, made especially to meet today’s driving prob-

lem today.

They have found a way to rearrange the entire chemical structure of gasoline... actually they have balanced it.

Automotive engineers have a term for Super-Shell. They call it “motor-digestible,” so quickly and completely is its energy changed into power... at all motor speeds. You'll cut the cost of your stop and go by the regular use of Super-Shell, There’s a Shell dealer near you.
