By United Press MOSCOW, July 16-—Overjoyed at completion of the Moscow=Volga canal before the time set, the Government today granted amnesty to 95,000 eonvicts who worked on it, and ordered the Trade Union Coun= cil to find them jobs as soon as pos= sible, the official Tass News Agency

Mary Wendel, 6169 Primrose St, who filed an affidavit against Homer W. Reed, 29, of 830 E. Morris St, charging assault and battery,
appeared in court yesterday.
She wore big, dark-colored glasses.®
She told Judge Karabell she had de= cided not to prosecute the case. The judge asked her why. Miss Wendell handed him a wedding license. She and Reed had been married by a Noblesville Justice of the Peace just the day before. The Judge, still puzzled, asked her to tell where Reed had struck | her, She baiked at first but finally | remov ed the dark glasses. Under= [neath were two definitely black=ened eyes.
The judge said the court would have to be satisfied for the blows struck and fined Reed $1 and costs ana senfenced him to 30 days in Jail, But the judge said the court would suspend the sentence if Reed would pay the fine and costs.
