DEPOSITS HERE UP 22 MILLION, BANKS REPORT

Accounts of 10 Institutions Total $230,675,000 as Of June 30.

Ten of the city's outstanding banking institutions have $22,000,000 more in their deposit coffers this year than at the same time last year, according to figures released by the Indianapolis Clearing House Association today and yearly statements of individual banks. The 10 banks showed a total of $230,675,000 deposited as of June 30, 1936. This year’s report showed $252,692,000. Indiana National Bank showed the greatest increase, reporting approximately $101,099,000 in deposits in June, 1936, and $108,869,000 this year, an increase of more than $7.500,000. The banks’ statements also revealed that the institutions had almost $100,000.000 worth of U. S. Government bonds and securities on hand at the end of June this year. Approximate deposits for the
