The stadium, to be erected on the site of the present campfire arena, is to be built of reinforced concrete and steel, with cypress poists and hard maple seats and backs. Seating for 400 Scouts and 800 adults is planned. Lighting effects, a public address system, weatherproof curtains, restrooms and drinking fountains also are to be built. F. O. Belzer, Scout executive, urged citizens to visit the Scout reservation and the proposed stadium site Team Members

MAN HUNTED AS MOLESTER OF GIRL
A dark, heavy man who attemnted to molest an 11-year-old girl bicyclist was sought today. The girl told police she stopped at a drinking fountain at Southern Ave. and Garfield Park when the man stepped out of nearby bushes. She said the man drove off in a sedan when she ran to the Garfield Community House.

ROOSEVELT CALLS ECONOMY PARLEY
By United Press WASHINGTON, July 8. —President Roosevelt today summoned heads of all independent agencies of the Government to meet with him
of expenditures which he hopes will aggregate 10 per cent for the present fiscal year, Previously, Mr. Roosevelt had discussed similar savings measures with members of his Cabinet. He hopes to achieve a “layman's balance” in the 1937 fiscal year budget through reducing expenditures $400,000,000 under appropriations.
LIQUOR TAG SALES BOOST EXCISE FUND
Department Income Is 4th Largest in State.
The Excise Department today reported the fourth largest income
cal year ending June 30, with
stamp sales for liquor contributing the largest increase over the previous period. Small increases in beer gallonage and retail permit collections were bolstered by the 40 per cent rise in hard liquor sales, according to the annual report prepared by Hugh Barnhart, Excise director. The division's total income exceeded $7,000,000 for the period, the report showed. Stamp sale collec tions totaled $3,251,944 last year, compared with $2,307,670 the previ ous year. Income from beer gallonage in-
; | creased from $1,078,459 in 1936 to
$1,647.372. Home brewers gradually are disappearing, the report shows.
State Department tax collections totaled $5060, and dropped to $3480 last year. Part of the increased collections was due to more rigid enforcement of State laws, Mr. Barnhart said. Indiana schools have received a large part of the excise division collections since the department was established four years ago. More than $20,747,545 has poured into the state coffers in that time and approximately $9,813,639 was paid back to local units. Schools received $4,814,411 and civil units $4,999,227.
