Practical demonstration of Federation objectives in every community will be the Indiana Federation of Clubs theme for the year, Mrs. Edwin I. Poston, Martinsville, state president, told 13 district heads today. A morning conference and luncheon were held in the Columbia Club Fairbanks Room to formulate a federation program for the coming year. Cancer control, crime study and conservation are the “three Cs” outlined for study at the luncheon by Mrs. Arthur Jaques, Poseyville, dean of departments. Parole Survey Planned

Clubs are to make a survey of the parole system in connection with crime study and are to plant a Federation forest in southern Indiana in support of the conservation program. “Build for permanancy” was the slogan of the opening session, a round-table discussion conducted by Mrs. George R. Dillinger, French Lick, dean of district presidents. Plans for extension, organization and fall district conventions were laid. Mrs. Dillinger also offered various prizes to encourage each president to support the federation theme outlined by Mrs. Poston.

Other Prizes Offered

A "History of the Federation,” now being compiled, is to be awarded district presidents reporting no loss of clubs during the coming vear A prize is to be given to the district members whose scrap book best illustrates progress toward the Federation goal. By MARJORIE BINFORD WOODS A spirit of holiday ho! prevails in the Russel S. Williams household, 747 N. Meridian St.,, this summer. Each member of the family is in-

vesting in an adventure to his own liking—and an assortment of thrill- | ing vacation tales are likely to be recounted when the family circle is complete again. { Horses and riding are the hobbies | of 15-year-old Gene and his young- | er brother, Russel Jr. aged 12.
