‘For Rent” Signs Disappear
From Picturesque Nashville.
Times Special NASHVILLE, Ind, June 18.— There are no “for rent” signs here —nor for that matter, in most of
| Brown County.
A survey by county and town officials revealed a business boom. Every business place in town has been taken over and no storeroom space is available. This is the news relayed to Indianapolis businessmen seeking to locate establishments in Indiana’s tourist center. Local contractors plan new buildings here to take care of a shortage. A cabin builder recently rented a small room across from the Court House to a merchant; another lot owner expects to erect buildings to house retail stores on his ground. New homes also are to be built. A peauty parlor recently came to town, and another has been opened at the Abe Martin lodge in the Brown County State Park two and a half miles southeast of here. Bean Blossom, near here, is the site of a new pottery industry established by a California woman. Meanwhile, building remodelling is underway. Private homes faking care of the tourist trade dre being enlarged to house the hotel overflow. Curio and souvenir ‘merchants have reported a business upturn, and county hand-craftsmen are working by lamplight to supply the increased order demand. A widow

State Department Reveals lli-Starred Allied Intervention.
By United Press WASHINGTON, June 18. — The State Department has written finis, ir so far as the United States is concerned, to the disastrous attempts by the Allied Governments in 1919 to intervene in Russia and by armed force overthrow the Soviet Government, The Department opened the files containing its hitherto secret documents relating to the fiasco conducted by the American, British, Japanese, French and Italian Governments in Archangel and Siberia.
