OILING IS CAUSE OF MAJORITY OF 13 NEW DETOURS
‘Road 37 Bypass Marked : In South Part of Indianapolis.
Oiling projects accounted for most of the 13 state road detours marked this week, it was announced today by the State Highway Commission. [Eight detours were lifted from completed projects. A detour over streets on Road 37 here led |the list of city street detours. Others were on U. S. 6 in Hammond and Highland; U.S. 12 in East Chicago, U. S. 35 in Laporte, Indiana 46 in Bloomington and Indiana 114 in North Manchester. Detours are marked as follows: Indiana 1--Two miles south of Milton, run-around for railroad crossing. From Indiana 116 ia Waynedale, 28 miles over Roads 116 anrd3. Indiana 5 From Elkhart southeast to Goshen, 8 miles over county pavement. Indiana 3— From Muncie south, 312 miles cover U. It will be a two-story. five-proof building and is expected to be completed by Sept. 15. The-owner and builder is Walter G. Brown, who is the manager of a drygoods and hardware store at 2619 W. Washington St. Its seating capacity will be 600, and it will be leased and operated by Harvey D. Orr, Iadianapolis theater owner.

Inman, Stout Field. is to supervise the landing order at each of the 18 stops on the 1500-mile aerial jaunt. Rex Risher, South Bend, is tour-master and director of lining up ships in each port. O. W. Jones, Terre Haute, is to command the three- second takeoffs. The. Lincoln National Life Insurance Co. trophy, awarded for aerial navigation from the time of takeoff, is open to pilots on the tour. The award is to be made June 19 at a banquet in Muncie. The tour is under the auspices of the Indiana Aircraft Trades Associ-
