Ths union, a Committee for Industrial Organization affiliate, claims 'a majority of members among the plant workers. It recently won similar elections at two Ft. Wayne factories, and also has asked for an election at the General Electric plant here.

Auto Accident Blamed for Strike

By United Press > NEWCASTLE, June 11.—An auto-

today was blamed indirectly for a strike of workers at the Perfect Circle Piston Ring plant here.

Temporary Agreement Sought at New Albany

a strike of 150 employees demanding a wage increase. The striking group asked a 40-cents-an-hour minimum wage scale, time and a half for overtime and double time for Sunday and holiday work. :
