death in White River changed a happy outing into tragedy yesterday. With eight other girls, members of an Indianapolis Jewish Community Center gym class, Miss Levy had gone to the river to escape the city’s heat. Four Girls in Boat

| She was in a rowboat with three of her companions—and only the froroism of Thomas Miller, 21, of

According to Mr. Miller, the girls were floating downstream when suddenly their rowboat shipped water. He shouted to | them, running the 200 yards down the shaded river bank. But the boat sank, and all four girls were bobbing about in the water when Mr. Miller arrived. Stripping off his clothing, he dived in and rescued Anna Calderon, 14, of 1145 S.
