Good, business director, were pleased when tentative check of the bids revealed the high school’s first building unit might be constructed without dropping one classroom wing. Mr, Good said the entire structure probably wouid be let within the $450,000 originally set aside for the building.
Bids Total $403,619 Low base bids, without the class-
® room wing, totalled $403,619.
The tentative low base bid for general construction was a bid of $279,000 of the J. L. Simmons Co, Bloomington, Ill. Other base bids. not including the classroom wing, were W. P. Jungeclaus Co., $289,750; Service Construction Co., $281,641; E. A. Carson. Co., $296,888, .all of Indianapolis. The Simmons company estimated $29,000 as*the additional cost of the classroom wing.
Tentative Low Bid The tentative low bid for heating and ventilation was a base bid of $37,252 by Freyn Brothers, Indianapolis. R. M. Cotton, Indianapolis, with
