Times Special LOGANSPORT, Ind. May 19.— Approximately 3000 delegates representing Elk lodges in all parts of Indiana are expected to attend the 36th state convention June 1, 2 and 3 in Logansport. Logansport, Lodge 66, host to the group, will have among its guests David Sholtz, Jacksonville, Fla. grand exalted ruler and past Governor of Florida. The convention is to be climaxed by a parade of 35 floats at 11 a. m. on June 3. Music is to be furnished by 25 bands and drum corps.

Those in charge of arrangements are Frank Sibley, local exalted ruler; Robert Hillis Jr, leading knight, who willl act as program chairman; Carl 'Monninger, past exalted ruler and chairman of the convention executive committee: Mrs. Charles W. Snyder, Mrs. Frank Sibley, and Mrs. Robert Hillis Jr. The program on June 1 is to feature registration; a golf tournament | at the Country Club; a luncheon:for David Sholtz at the Barnes Hotel; ritualistic contest for the J. T. Fanning cup and cash prize; stag party at the Elks’ club, and a ladies’ theater party. ; The business session on June 2 is to be opened by A. Gordon Taylor, La Porte, president of the Indiana Elks ' Association, Mayor W. O. Fielder and Frank Sibley will give welcoming addresses, while Mr. Taylor will give:the response.
