DEPAUW HONORS CITY STUDENTS AT CHAPEL RITE

Lucy Ann Balch W Wins Theta Sigma Phi Senior Woman Trophy.

Times Special GREENCASTLE, May .14—Three Indianapolis students were accorded high honors at DePauw's annual Recognition Chapel yesterday.

Lucy Ann Balch, 3101 College Ave., was awarded the Theta Sigma Phi trophy for being the most representative senior woman. Rosalind Barrows, 5828 College Ave., received the senior ring, significant of the most outstanding junior woman, -and Robert Morgan, 4515 Guilford Ave. was tapped to Blue Key, national men’s honorary organization.

Miss Balch has been an assistant editor of the Mirage, junior class year-hook. She is a former member of Alpha Lambda Delta, freshman women’s scholastic honorary group; Mortar Board, senior women’s honorary society, Association of Women Students’ Board, the Student Affairs Committee, the student executive board, governing body; Theta Sigma Phi, honorary journalistic sorority; Women's Sports Association, and a of the senior ring. She is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. Miss Barrows was voted the most cutstanding junior coed. She is the Association of Women Students; a member of Mortar Board; the student executive board, Alpha Lambda Delta and Theta Sigma Phi. She has served on the staffs of the DePauw, college newspaper, and the DePauw Magazine and has been associate business manager of the Mirage. She is a member of Delta Delta Delta.

The State Highway Commission placed five additional detours into effect this week as the summer construction season began. The new detours affect Indiana 29 and Indiana 32, just north of La Porte; Indiana 62, from road 66 at
