A resolution was drawn containing a four-fold program for furthering white cane activities. The Lions plan to continue supplying the braille magazine to all blind children in the state: to present white canes to all blind adults in Indiana; and to aid in rehabilitating blind people by finding them jobs for which they are fitted. A specific plan also was drawn to post signs along the county road leading north of Broad Ripple to the State Blind School at 77th St. warning motorists to “Drive Carefully—Blind Children.” This work covering about two miles of road, is expected to begin immediately, according ‘to Edward O. Snethen, chairman of the committee on state activities for the blind.®
President Speaks
The convention last night heard Edwin R. Kingsley, Parkersburg, W. Va., international president. . Speaking at the governor's banquet in the Riley Room of the Claypool Hotel, Mr. Kingsley stressed the value of Lionism in meeting the “radicalism” in international affairs and the building of a better citizenship among the youth of America. With approximately 600 in attendance, Mr. Kingsley told the meeting that ‘‘only rearing men and women of good caharacter, not culture, will stand the tests of time.”
He added that “there is not an adequate program of character building in our schools and colleges today. Half of our people have no religious affiliation whatever. Throughout this land we are flooded with filthy pulp magazines that print the worst of filthy reading matter.” He pleaded for aid to underprivileged children. W. W. French, international di- - rector who spoke at the same meeting, praised the recent flood relief work of Lions in southern Indiana. He also discussed the advancement of the organization in Indiana, calling for a membership drive that will increase the number of clubs from the present 106 to more than 200. He said those 200 clubs would include more than 10,000 members— more than double the present number. :
Study District Split
Listed as principle business .for -today was a committee report on a ‘ resolution to split the northern district into two districts comprising approximately 31 clubs each. The resolution was introduced by Edward H. Paine, Michigan City, northern district governor. Delegates believed the convention would go on record as favoring the proposal, but would delay action until

QUICK BED BUG
To kill bed bugs, their eggs and young, use Peterman’s Discovery. All-purpose insecticides can’t do the job as well. Spray Discovery into all eracks in wall and floor. Put it in mattress seams, bed springs, behind baseboards, moldings, wherever bed bugs breed and hide. Bugs suck it in and die. 256, 35¢ and 6oc a can, at your druggists.

you do not own a washer that’s all the more reason why you should use the New 1937 Rinso. It gives heaps more suds that soak clothes at least 5 shades whiter than ordinary soaps. As little as a 10-minute soaking in Rinso’s lively suds get clothes amazingly clean. Yet Rinso is safe even for overnight soaking. With Rinso you don't . have to scrub—you don’t have to boil the clothes. That means they'll last 2 or 3 times longer. Furthermore, the New Rinso soaks clothes hygienically clean—removes germs that might be lurking in the clothes. Eco- - nomical—a little goes a long way. Testedand approved by Good Housekeeping Institute.
