Certified Public Accountants of Indiana are to hold their state convention in the Hotel Lincoln tomorrow, with Joseph B. Baerncopf, In-
| session at 9:30 a. m. Election of directors and officers, the annual dinner and a clinic on taxation are on the program. Committee chairmen who are to report at the morning session are: Charles E. Stevens, Association and C. P. A. Laws; O. C. Herdrich, City Representation; Charlton N. Carter, co-operation with bankers; [John W Miller, co-operation with credit men; Birney D. Spradling, co-opera- . tidn with lawyers; Wells V. Bishop, development or the association; W. M. Madden, legislation; Howard W. Painter, membership; George S. Olive, natural business year, and John S. Lloyd, publicify, meetings and program.

William | M. Madden, general chairman of the state meeting committee, is to preside as toastmaster at -the dinner in the Hotel Lincoln at noon.
Addresses of welcome are to be given by Governor Townsend and Mayor Kern. The response is to be made by | Mr. Baerncopf, retiring state president. : Businessmen have been invited to attend the tuncheon and taxation clinic. The clinic is to start at 1:15 p. m,, and is to include highlights in the application and administration of important Federal, State and loeal taxation. |

TURKEY TOPS LIST IN WAR PURCHASING
By United Press WASHINGTON, May 17.— The State Department revealed today that Turkey took nearly one-half of the $4.032,773.81 worth of military supplies exported last month. Turkey purchased $1,904,551 worth of military airplanes and $625 worth of spare parts. China ranked second in total purchases, taking $452,448 worth of materials during the month. Nearly all of this went for military and civil aircraft. Brazil ranked third on the list with total purchases of $246,707, the bulk of which went for military and civil aircraft and spare parts.
