| FRIDAY, MAY 7, 1937 . ‘ U.S. Agency Hires Marshals To Arrest Labor Agitators
Times Special : WASHINGTON, May 7—A Government corporation has been employing U. S. Deputy Marshals to arrést labor “agitators,” annual report of the Inland Waterways Corp. disclosed today. Maj. Gen. T. Q. Ashburn, chairman of the Board, said the marshals arrested 14 agitators and had them sentenced to jail, “after which Peace was restored.” This was in Cairo, Ill.
