Mr. and Mrs. Johnson are Jusp home from an extended trip in the southwest. = They motored from Corpus Christi to Monterey, where they enjoyed the peaceful, old-world atmosphere. But they had their moments of excitement, too, and came back with a grand fish story. They fished at Aransas Pass, where they had the same guide who is now with Mr. Johnson, while seeking tarpon, had his line taken by a giant ray fish. The line
was cut before the boat capsized. |
The event was unusual in that experts say the giant ray 1s seldom fooled by so simple a device as a line—ordinarily he is susceptible to nothing less than a harpoon. ” ” ” 4 rs.
