Washington St. The project employed an average of 900 workers weekly and was begun Feb. 11, 1936. It has not been completed. The second largest project was the clinical building of Indiana University’s Medical Center with a total cost of $576,983 and a Federal grant of $249,750. Mr. Logan estimated $3,346,300 in buildings still await approval of PWA grants. The major structures contemplated aré the Indianapolis Civic Auditorium, $2,543,000, on the old site of Shortridge High School; Irvington High School, $450,000; Washington High School additition. $368,300; and an addition at School 26, $75,000.
