Budget Group es Construction to Cost Close to Million.
Almpst a million dollars of the State's two-year institutional building expansion program today had been . approved tentatively by the + Budget Committee. Definitely approved by the budget committee, Budget Director Ed Brennan said, were projects costing nearly $200,000. Among them were the construction of a service wing to the Indiana State Prison, Michigan City, at a cost of $120,000; installation of boilers in the Rockville Tuberculosis Sanitarium, $40,000; expansion of State Police headquarters in the State House, $15,000, and repairs to buildings at Ft. Wayne State School, $6000. Included in the initial plan are a 160-bed dormitory: at Central State Hospital, a hospital and dormitory at the Logansport State Hospital :and a hospital unit at Richmond State Hospital. gram. Estimated cost for the Central Hospital unit is $245,000, for Logansport $250,000 and for Richmond $250,000, he said. No personnel shakeup at state institutions is contemplated, Mr. Gottschalk announced. He named J. D. By United Press MUNCIE, Ind. April 2.—James Hodson, 7, was killed yesterday when he stumbled and fell from a railroad bridge while on his way home with a birthday present for his father, Edgar Hodson. # James, accompanied by his sister, was crossing the C. & O. bridge over White. River, a short-cut home, when he lost his balance and toppled Rescuzrs found a handkerchief in his pocket which he had purchased as a present.

LOOGOOTEE, Ind. April 2.—Impeachment proceedings today had been filed in Circuit Court against Mayor Frank Kays, charging him with misconduct of office. Mayor Kays, named at a special election in May, 1935, was charged with failuze .to enforce city ordinances and with confiscating city property, according to the affidavit signed by William Lyon, street commissioner.
