Kidnap Boss’ Daughter

As Dannie O'Neill, an ardent foe of war though personally belligerent. Mr. McLaglen looks once more like one of the sereen’s best character actors. Dannie hates his emplover, Michael Steele, for his profiteering as a munitions manufacturer. So just before America’s entrance into the World War, he kidnaps Steele's infant daughter, Nancy Jailed for assault resisting an officer, Dannie's temper leads him to a longer sentence as leader of an attempted prison break. After 17 vears he is released and returns to the family that has kept Nancy He takes her to New York where he meets Steele, who gives him a job as gardner on his estate. Meanwhile the crafty “Professor” Sturm, Dannie’s cell mate, has discovered his secret and plans to claim the $100.000 reward. He wounds Dannie, gets the identifying baby clothes and passes off a shop girl on the grateful Steele as his own daughter. Whereupon Dannie pursues Sturm, brings him back and makes him confess the deception. So, with his old hate for Steele destroved by his love for his daughter, Dannie surrenders the girl and willingly goes back to spend the rest of his life in prison. Is Splendid
