Jack Hunt set the pace among the soloists, while Rolles Printing tacked up the top team total. Both high scores were rolled in the Printcraft League matches at the Pritchett Alleys. Hunt Near 700 Mark Hunt, rolling in the anchor position for the Rolles quintet. missed the 700 mark by one pin, when he tossed games of 194, 226 and 279. His top series was supported by Al Bottin's 649, Eddie Hornberger's 631 and Butch Zix's 623, giving the team games of 952, 1001 and 1123 for a 3076. The three-game total and the 1123 game were season records in the circuit. The team won thiee games over Rapid Rollers, who had Eddie Ten Eyck with 640 as its leading scorer. Harry Gresham with 663. Fehr with 634, Harold Deal 614, Norval Ward with 607 Reynolds with 605 were honor shooters in other matches of the session, in which Cornelius Printing and Advance Electrotvpe nabbed shutouts and Bingham Rollers won two games. A pair of heavy tetals emerged from the Parkway Recreation gathering at the Parkway Alleys. Harry Kollinger flanked a 276 with games of 211 and 188 for a 675 and Charley Roberts welded counts of 223, 207 and 240 into a 670. Other 600 shooters were Sam Lovick with 629 and Freddie Shaw with 601. Argus Jr. Connects A 675 series was also good for solo honors and a season record in the Intermediate League session at the Uptown. Joe Argus Jr, connected for games of 183, 244 and 248 to reach the record series. Otie Boston and Cecil Richard also entered the 600 class, the former with a 630 and Richard with a 607. Al Schonecker again outscored rivals of the Optical League, in session at the Illinois, but his supremacy was threatened by Ralph White. Schonecker turned in a consistent series of 222, 225 and 221 for a 668. while White tossed a 258 middle game that boosted him to a 652. Olaf Rutledge hit the 600 on the nose for the loops honor series. Dutch Masters Post 3001

Bob Hughes turned in the top solo series of the Universal League, but the heavy bombardment went for naught as his Russet Cafeteria bowed three times to Dutch Masters Cigars, who totaled 3001 in their trio of games. Hughes used games of 217, 235 and 215 for a 667. The Masters, with Pete Ernst at 627, Larry Langbein at 620, Dick Nordholt at 610 and Joe Rea at 605. posted games of 991, 1055 for its big series.
