RITES ARRANGED FOR TOMORROW

Former — Was 58; Held High Positions in Masonic Lodges.

LESLIE D., CLANCY, former Indianapolis postmaster, is to be buried in Crown Hill Cemetery tomorrow following funeral services at 1:30 p. m. in Flanner & Buchanan Mortuary. Dr. George Arthur Frantz, First Presbyterian Church pastor, and 33d degree Masons are to have charge of the service. Commit- | ment rites are to be performed | by members of the Capital one

Lodge. Mr. Clancy, who died yesterday | in his home, 3660 N. Delaware St, was 58. Born in Milton, he came to Indianapolis as a child and was educated in public schools here.

After serving as a postal clerk and engaging in the insurance and commercial business for eight years, Mr. Clancy re-entered the postal service in 1920. He served as clerk and Broad Ripple postoffice supers intendent, and became Indianapolis postmaster Jan. 9, 1032. He continued in that post until Sept. 30, 1933.

Active in Masons

A member of the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, Sons of the American Revolution, the Indianapolis Athletic Club and the First Presbyterian Church, Mr. Clancy also was active in the Masonic Order. He was past master of Capital City Lodge, F. and A. M.; past high priest of the Indianapolis chapter; past king of the Indianapolis Council; past eminent commander of Raper Commandery, Knights Temp- | lar; past thrice potent master of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapo- | lis, and past potentate of Murat | Shrine. He also was

the Royal Order of Jesters. Survivors are the widow, Mrs, | Edith Baker Clancy: a Clancy, and a daughter, Clancy, all of Indianapolis.

iN W. ELDER, 700 E. St. Clair for 36 years a resident of Indins, died yesterday in his home. Funeral arrangements are to be | completed today. Mr. Elder bom in Ripley County, He was a clerk for the Pennsylvania Railroad many years. He had | been Democratic First Precinct committeeman in the 11th Ward] since 1928. Mr. Elder was a member of St | Joseph's Catholic Church, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Nollie Elder: a daughter, Miss Edith Elder, both of Indianapolis; five sisters, Mrs. Lulu Row of Winston-Sa-lem, N. C.; Mrs. Anna Orr, Mrs. Josephine Ennis, Mrs. Bessie Meyer and Mrs. Cora Hopkins, and two brothers, Albert A. Elder and Carl | C. Elder, all of Indianapolis. |

SEILER, night chef at Stege- | meier's Restaurant 24 years, who died Tuesday in his home, 1727 Central Ave, is to be buried in Crown Hill Cemetery after funeral services at 10 a. m. today in the Flanner & Buchanan Mortuary. He was 66. The services are to be conducted by the Rev. George A. Frantz, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Irene Bailey, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Tabor, both of Indianapolis.

JAMES M. LAMONT, a retired bookkeeper who was born in Belfast, Ireland, and had lived 24 years in Indianapolis, is to be buried in!
