Sherwood Eddy, international social leader, presented the resolution. Governor Townsend, in introducing Miss Royden, said Indiana citizens are ready to support any movement that will bring peace among nations. & “If we want to have ‘peace, shall have peace,” he asserted.

A dinner of the Indianapolis Youth Peace Council in the church preceded the meeting. Rowland Miall Oxford, England, leader of the English Youth Movement and honor guest and speaker at the dinher, discussed the growth of the| youth movement in his.country, - Martz Lewis presided at a round- taple discussion. Meredith Nicholson, United States Minister to Venezuela, was | chairman of the peace meeting. Miss Royden declared ‘Italy, Germany and Japan are a challenge to peace and the challenge must be met.”

Funeral arrangements were being completed today for Miss Made-

lein Thatcher, 2809 W. Michigan St., whose death yesterday afternoon raised Marion County's 1937 traffic toll to nine. She was 21. She was the second victim of a collision between an automobile and a street car at Washington and Pershing Sts, in which Gert Whitaker, 21, of 521 Centennial St. also suffered fatal injuries. Four other persons were injured slightly in the crash. A police car answering a call early today collided with an automobile driven by Ross Mopsinger, 21, of 1405 Wright St, in the 700 block on E. Washington St., police said. Both cars were uamaged, but no one was injured. The police car was driven by Patrolman Elmer Thompson.
