= > The Riley Hospital Cheer Guild is concentrating on extending guild work throughout the Stdte, Mrs. Andrew J. Porter, honorary president, announced today. Local guild members are attending meetings of State chapters to explain activities and assist in the organization of additional ' units. Mrs. John G. Beale, extension committee chairman, reports recent visits to four groups near Greenfield. Assisting Mrs. Beale with the extension work are Miss Alice Velsey, assistant auxiliary secretary; Mgsdames Blanche B. McNew, Major Crispin, Agnes Todd and Mrs. C. D. Vawter, president, an ex-of-ficio member.

Report to Be Made

A report of extension work will be given at a business meeting at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Indianapolis Athletic Club. Mrs. Eddie Reed, hostess, is to be assisted by Mesdames E. H. Souffiot, Robert Clegg, J. S. McLaughlin, George Todd and J. W. Price. Following the business session, Mrs. Paul Whipple, with Mrs. Carl Switzer as accompanist, will sing a group ol songs. Miss Ethel Pearson, superintendent of nurses at the Rotary Convalescent Home, a unit of the James Whitcomb Riley Hospital, is to discuss the Guild's work at the home.

hearsing for the midwinter frolic Feb. 6 at the Columbia Club. The jug band, formed to provide the frolic’s entertainment, made its debut before the club last year. The rustic rhythm and funmaking of the

bandsmen were so ‘original that the members are preparing themselves for surprises during this year’s appearance. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene C. Felt and Mrs. H. Clair Kimber and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Throop, ringleaders in the band’s original organization, are on the committee for next month's floor show. Missing from the bachelor committee of sponsors is Hiram Wasson McKee who married Miss Margaret L. Denny yesterday. John Gordon Kinghan, engaged to Miss Jane Weldon, and William Coleman Atkins, who is to marry Miss Brownie Miskimen, are on the committee, but will forfeit their rights to the positions after their weddings.
