A new school building, to be erect@d on or near the site of the present portable school, Drexel-av and 21stst, will be asked by the E. 21st-st Civic League, The., at its meeting #t 8 p. m. today at the school. The League also is working for fire protection of the community.

This tragedy of the transportation world had its beginnings 40 years
| ago when the M. & 8. tought a spanking new engine, tritnmed in brass
with red striping, to haul passengers over five and nine-tenth miles of track between Middleburgh and Schoharie, N, Y.
