Extension division. “This panel discussion under leadership of Allan Bloom, Jewish Com‘munity Center general secretary, is "to follow a series of nine talks regently delivered by state officials. Three hundred and fifty-one persons were enrolled for the series. Tomorrow's meeting is to be'open to the public. * Following are some of the questions expected to be discussed: "1, What should be done in Indiana in regard to poor relief? ~ 2. Would you favor giving a pension at 65? 3. Does the social security program meet the needs of labor? 4, Has the social security program provided enough or too little | for the aged? © 5. Is health insurance a possibility in the near future? .. The following panel members are expected to participate in the disgussion: Mr. Bloom, chairman; Virgil Sheppard and James P. Lydon, of the State Public Welfare Department; Dr. Thurman Rice, of the Indiana University School of Medigine; Dr. Norman Beatty; Alex Gordon, State Unemployment Compensation Board labor representafive; Mrs. Blythe W. : legal fight to avoid payment of Federal “windfall” taxes was arranged today after attorneys for the packing firm appealed the decision of Federal Judge Robert C. Baltzell that the tax is valid. The case now goes to the United States Circuit Court of Appeals at Chicago. As a result of the appeal, Kingan’s and approximately 30 other firms with similar suits pending are to be granted 30-day extensions for filing tax returns. Subsequent to Judge Baltzell's decision, made in Federal District Court here last week, three concerns have dismissed their suits and one new case has been filed.

Youth Says Fight Occurred |
In Beer Tavern.
Three persons were under arrest today and a fourth was recovering from knife wounds following an alleged beer tavern fight last night. Charles Detty, 19, of Battery A, Fort Harrison, was treated at City Hospital for cuts which he told police were inflicted by a 60-year-old patron of a down-town tavern. The alleged assailant escaped. He told police Jack Long, 22, of 1161 Villa-av, also took part in the fight. Long was charged with disorderly. conduct. He also told them that John Partlow, tavern owner, and Miss Jean Blackburn, 22, of 1237 Roose-velt-av, served him beer and they were charged with liquor law violations.

SEEK ATTACKER OF HOLLYWOOD CHILD
By United Press HOLLYWOOD, Dec. 15.—Physicians confirmed today that a 13-year-old girl, who broke into'the home of Ann Harding, to escape an elderly
| attacker, had been. criminally as-
saulted. Posses searched the scrubby hills north of Hollywood for the man. Miss Harding has not lived in the house recently, having been in England with her daughter. The girl was taken to‘ Receiving Hospital where physicians said she was suffering from severe:-shock.
A state-wide teletype alarm was
sent out to arrest the man.
WOMAN DIES IN TAXI; INQUIRY IS BEGUN
Dr. John E. Wyttenbach, deputy | coroner, was to complete an investi-
gation today in the death of Mrs.
Henry Wortmann, 50, of 1525 N. Rural-st, who died in a taxi last night. Curtis Barrett, 46, of 1724 Mil-burn-st, told Dr. Wyttenbach he saw Mrs. Wortmann slump down .in the sat unconscious, shortly - after boarding his cab. He speeded to a physician, but Mrs. Wortman was dead when he arrived. Dr. Wytten-
bach said he believed death due to
natural causes.
