Ex-Lieut. Green Hagerman Helped Found Insurance Association.

~~ GREEN HAGERMAN, Police and Fireman's Insurance Association vice president and former police lieutenant, is to be buried- in Crown Hill Cemetery tomorrow following

_ services at 3 p. m. in the Flanner . & Buchanan Mortuary.

Mr. Hagerman, who was 73, died yesterday at his home, 5750 Broadway. Born in Kentucky, he came to Indianapolis when 20. one of the insurance asscciation’s ‘ founders, and retired from the department in 1915. He was a member of Capitol City Lodge, F, & A. M. and the Scottish Rite. Survivors are the widow, two daughters, Mrs, Grace Haislup, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Clara Tomlinson, Lombard, Ill.

JAMES S. DALE, World War vet- * eran and former Montana legislator, died yesterday at his home, 2354 N. Alabama-st. Members of the Robert Kennington Post 34, American

Legion, of which he was a past commander, will participate in military funeral rites at 1 p. m. tomorrow in the home. Burial is to be in Crown “Hill Cemetery. ° Mr. Dale, who came to Indianapolis in 1917, was active in Democratic politics. He is survived - by the widow, Mrs. Julia Dale.

WILLIAM F. NORRIS, retired contractor, died yesterday at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Maude Davidson, 1103 N. Arsenalav. Funeral services are to be held at 2 p. m. Thursday in the Jordan Funeral Home, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Mr. Norris, who was 88, had been a resident here more than 50 years. He was a member of Meridian Lodge, I. O. O, F.. Other survifors are a daughter, Mrs. Herman Winterhoff and a son, Thomas, both of Indianapolis; brothers, Charles, Henryville, and John, Indianapolis; sisters, Mrs, Alice Williams, Mrs. Kate Lewis, Mrs. Clara Kester and Mrs. Emma Calkfhs, all of Indianapolis, and three granddaughters.

MRS. EMMA ATKINS DAVIS, former Indianapolis resident, was buried yesterday in Santa Monica, Cal. She died ‘at her home there Saturday. Mrs, Davis, who was 64, was a sister of H. C. Atkins Sr, E. C. Atkins & Co. president. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Sanford H. Wadham, Torrington, Conn.; two daughters, Mrs. James Taylor, Berkeley, Cal., and Mrs. Robert McGregor, Peiping, China; three nieces and four nephews.

'. MRS. FLORA B. DEFFENBAUGH, 265 S. Arlington-av, is to be buried Thursday in Holy Cross Cemetery ‘following services at 8:30 a. m. in the home and at 9 a. m. in Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Mrs. Deflenbaugh; who died yesterday in St. Vincent's Hospital, was a resident here for 38 years. A brother, Harry Cummings, Indianapolis, survives.

* . OTIS SMITH, operator of the O. K. Transfer Co., was to be buried in Holy Cross Cemetery this morning following services in the Grinsteiner Funeral Home. Mr. Smith, who was 56, died Saturday at his home, 602 E. Ohio-st. The widow, Gertrude, survives.
