A year's savings was welded into outfits to be purchased before Christmas Day by the second large group from Diamond: Chain to join Clothe-A-Child. The honor roll leader aided by other generous groups and individuals brought the total children clothed to 238 while at Washington and Meridian-sts the Mile-of-Dimes hit its first mark—one row —in its first day of aiding the campaign.
