Heckling was in order at the R H. Brown Stables last night during the treasure hunt and games which followed a buffet supper. The mora you could disconcert the partici= pants in the stunts, the more likely Jou or your favorite were to win &
Pr. and Mrs. Lucius Hamilton and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ray Bunch passed out trinkets to men and women and the hunters then matched for partners. F The clews sent the participants im mad scrambles up haylofts, into stalls, through the stable and over the grounds. Rudy Armstrong and Mrs. Clayton Mogg came in first, a nose ahead of Mrs. Orland Church and A. B. Alexander. After that, the horses came in for the play. Riders mounted them to | play musical stall, pacing around the indoor ring and galloping for an improvised stall when the music : stopped. Joe Williams finally oute rode Frank McKibbin to win. | The lustiest heckling started during the walking race, in which | riders were ordered to keep their herses in a walk for six turns of the | ring. Amid cracks of whips, banging : of water buckets, *“giddaps” and snouts, the riders tightened reins and beseeched their horses to walk, Jo Ann Rice completed the paces first and won. Among those who were ,on the scene were Mr. and Mrs. Mogg; Mr. and Mrs. William Low Rice, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hoke, Volney M.
