PRISON NEEDS
$1,500,000 Appropriation Is Asked by Warden Louis Kunkel.

Warden Louis Kunkel has asked an appropriation of approximately $1,500,000, which would provide for capital outlay, increased wages and eight-hour shifts for guards.
$311,819 Wanted at Epileptic Village
By United Press - NEWCASTLE, Ind, Dec. 2—A total of $311,819 is needed for construction of new buildings and replacement of worn equipment at the Indiana Village for Epileptics,

JOBLESS PAYMENT CHECK ADVOCATED
Indiana employers today were warned to check unemployment compensation law contribution reports before the close of the year to avoid possibility of having to make double payments. The warning was issued last night by Clarence A. Jackson, state unemployment division director, in a talk before the Indianapolis chapter, National Association of Cost Accountants, in the Hotel Washington.

Indiana Farm Bureau Inc. has opened a membership drive in districts seven, nine and 10, comprising 28 counties, L. L. Needler, organ= ization director, reported today. “Farmers feel the need of a strong organization to protect their interests during the approaching session of the state legislature and Congress,” Mr. Needler said.
