Juniors Plan

Full Program - For Christmas

Latest Event Announced Is Dance Dec. 30 at Columbia Club.

BY BEATRICE BURGAN Society Editor

HE juniors are to have as gay a time during the Christmas holidays as their big brothers, sis ters and parents. To date the cale

endar hag more parties scheduled

| for them than for their elders.

The latest invitations issued are those of Amy Jose, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Victor Jose, and Jean El« liott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robe: ert Elliott, who are to be hostesses at a dance on Dec. 30 at the Colum= bia Club. s FA Many of them will be going to the Tudor Hall Alumnae Club dance on Dec. 22." The next day is to be a busy one for the young set for in the afternoon Miss . Harriet ‘Jane Holmes, Vassar College student, is to have a tea at the Indianapolis Athletic Club. The Sub Debs’ progressive dinner is to precede a dance to be given that night by Arthur and Homer Lathrop, Alan and John Appel at the Woodstock Club. - The ‘Junior Columbians’ Christe mas dance is to be held Dec. 25 and their teas Dec. 27 and Dec. 30. The boys in the Corpse Club are to be hosts at a ‘dance on Dec. 28; the Meridian Hill dance is Dec. 29 and the Merrymakers§y founders’ dance, Dec. 30 at Woodstock. This new generation is besieging the socigl scene, bringing with it new styles of dancing, dress fashions that only their youth can flatter, and a stag line. Many of these young daughters: danced the evening away at the Smith College Alumnae Club party at Woodstock Saturday. Alternating rows of shell and black lace whirled out about the. knees of Miss Irving Moxley’s black lace gown. The pink and black lace was draped around the neck ‘and shouders.. Miss Eileen Booker’s white crepe gown was all Grecian pleats, its waist circled with a gold belt and its shoul= ders marked with gold leaves. A wreath of gold leaves topped her coiffure, : Miss Jane Adams’ plaid and white taffeta frock was the, quaintest on the scene. The plaid jacket (red predominating) fitted snugly, had long sleeves, a Dutch collar ‘and large black buttons down the front. The white taffeta skirt, whirling wide aroynd her feet, was edged with a plaid dust ruffle. At the same time the St. Joan of Arc Woman's and Men's clubs were Paving a dance at. the Columbia ub. -L :
