This matinee-going, which is stir- % ring up a ripple of excitement among the very young set, is the most discussed topic in playtime conversations. “Rip Van Winkle must have been a queer old somebody fo want to sleep so long,’ according to one energetic little boy. “Yes, it's time for your nap,” the nursemaid interrupts, and the young commentator goes to dream about the “queer old somebody” who slept so long. And, at the same time, Miss Elsie Sinclair, Mrs. Robert C. Winslow, theater chairman; Mesdames W. Hathaway Simmons, Charles R. “Weiss, Skiles Test and John K. Ruckelshaus practice their lines for the show, which Mrs. Rosamond Van Camp Hill is directing.
