Better Qualified Than. Men for Some Activities, Gilliom Says.

The Republican party needs the wholesome and efficient influence of women, Arthur L., Gilliom, LandonKnox Clubs state director in the recent campaign, told the Indianapolis Womens’ Republican Club at a meeting this afternoon in the Columbia Club. “For some phases of our party activity women are even better qualified than are men,” he said. “For instance, the old way in which

the treasury of our state organiza-

tion has been conducted would, in my opinion, become much improved if a capable woman, with a reputation for efficient administration of finances, was placed in charge for a while.” He spoke on the need for building 7 up a loyal party organization which would be able to keep out “improper influences.”
