Education Week to to Be Noted by Visits and Roberts School Dedication.

Open house at the city's largest . educational center, Technical iHgh School, and formal dedication of the James E. Roberts School for Handicapped Children, are two features of American Education Week to be observed here beginning Monday. All grade and high schools in the city are planning special programs, and school officials today urged parents to visit their children’s school rooms. Among the local organizations cooperating in the observance are Indianapolis Church Federation, Indianapolis Council of Parents and Teachers, Teachers’ Federation, Indianapolis Free Kindergarten 8Society, Children’s Museum, American Association of University Women, American Legion and Indianapolis Retail Merchants’ Association.

Visiting Record Anticipated

Last year more than 73,000 adults visited Indianapolis schools, and an even larger number is expected next week. The program, which is national in scope, is designed to promot: the teacher-home relationhip, and to acquaint parents with the progress of education in the last 25 years, Carl Wilde, school board eresident, is to preside at the Roberts School ceremoney fo be held at 8p. m. next Thursday. 180 Pupils Enrolled

Classes were transferred from the old school, 612 W. Washington-st, to the new building, Oriental-sts, Oct. 12, Approximately 180 pupils are enrolled. Mrs. Jeanette Williams is principal. The Technical school’s open house js to be held Tuesday evening, and pupils are to assemble in sponsor room formations from 7 to 7:15 p. m. DeWitt 8.
