Act Now Under National Committee’s Fire.

Senate voted three to one for the Social Security Act which the Re-
nouncing in an attempt to turn Republican members of the House
in favor of the act. Leaders of the Republican Party in both Houses went on record for old-age benefits, unemployment in+ surance and other provisions of the act. So did Senator Vandenberg (R, |

D.), Gibson (Vt), Johnson (Cal), Keys (N.H., Mct Nary (Ore.), Norris (Neb.), Schall (Minn.), Steiwer (Ore.), Vandenr | berg (Mich.) and White (Me.)
